Bonheur Parfaite Nfurayase is a participatory action researcher with deep commitments to stakeholder engagement and community-centred research approaches.

She joined the School of Public Health in June 2025 as an Affiliate Researcher with the Imarisha consortium, examining gendered workplace violence in primary healthcare across South Africa, Burkina Faso, and Tanzania.

In this role, she supports global and local consortium research activities, conducting participatory and qualitative research with community partners and health services. Her responsibilities include planning and coordinating research fieldwork activities, managing ethical research processes and qualitative data analysis, supporting academic publications and knowledge mobilisation outputs for diverse audiences, and collaborating with international research teams and community stakeholders.

Currently, Bonheur is exploring PhD opportunities focused on how people, actors, and sectors collaborate to create responsive policies, translate them through creative inclusive methods, and assess what has been built in response to dynamic workplace realities. She is particularly interested in using theatre and arts-based approaches to make policy meaningful and accessible across diverse audiences.
