Dr. Tsague Dongmo Landry is a public health physician from Cameroon and a PhD graduate (2016) from the SOPH. Dr Tsague serves as the UNICEF Senior Health Adviser to the African Union and Economic Commission for Africa and as the coordinator for the UNICEF partnership with the Africa CDC. Previously, he served in various leadership roles with UNICEF, including Regional Health and HIV/AIDS Adviser for West and Central Africa and Chief HIV advisor in Zambia and Rwanda. Before UNICEF, Dr. Tsague served as Senior Technical Adviser with ICAP Columbia University in Rwanda and Chief of Service for the PMTCT program in the Ministry of Health in Cameroon.
Dr. Tsague brings diverse and rich experience managing public health programs and a solid track record of managing complex public health partnerships and designing health innovations. Dr Tsague is the co-managing editor and co-founder of the Panafrican Medical Journal.
Dr. Tsague holds a Doctoral Degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of Yaoundé, Cameroon. He is a global health Foege Fellow from the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, Atlanta, USA. Dr. Tsague received numerous recognitions for his leadership in Public Health, including the International Aids Society Young Investigator Award (2005), the Foege Fellowship Award from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA (2005), the New Investigator in Global Health Award from the Global Health Council (2006), the Emory University Shepard Award for Scientific Merit (2007), the Social Innovation for Public Health Impulse Fellowship award (2014) and the Jakes Gerwel Award in Public Health (2023) from the University of Western Cape, South Africa.
