The School of Public Health in the Faculty of Community & Health Sciences has an international reputation as a leading provider of post-graduate learning, teaching and collaborative research. Administrator/s play a key role in supporting the Project, Academic and Administrative staff in the School of Public Health.
The successful candidate will be expected to: Assume the role and responsibilities of a coordinator of all administrative functions within the School, which includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Managing the HR Function of the SOPH including drafting of contracts, attending to salary or any other HR related queries w.r.t. appointments, resignations, leave, benefits etc for all SOPH staff
- Overseeing the organisation and coordination of conferences, meetings, functions, summer and winter schools, SOPH venue management;
- Implementing and coordinating all office systems and procedures and equipment purchases as well as oversight of the use and maintenance of SOPH vehicles
- Supervising the functions of Receptionist, Admin Officers (2), Financial officers (2), departmental Secretary and Office assistant;
- Working closely with Project Manager w.r.t. coordination of project activities;
- Overseeing financial management of departmental funds
- Regular liaison with senior staff in HR and Finance regarding SOPH finance and HR problem solving queries;
- Overseeing all building management and liaison with relevant sections of the Universit
