Dr. Olusegun Murtala Odumosu

Odumosu became the Global Consortium Manager for The Imarisha Initiative at SOPH in 2025.   He possesses more than 16 years of diverse experience in Clinical Medicine, Public Health, Mental Health, and Human Rights.

After serving as a general practitioner for more than four years, he shifted his focus to HIV/AIDS treatment and care for Key Populations. His experience includes senior management roles in public health programs, human rights advocacy at the Southern African Development country level, and work with the African Commission for Human and Peoples Rights. He has also been involved in ensuring access to treatment and care for sexual and gender minorities, as well as leading multi-country consortia project management portfolios.  Before joining SOPH, he developed and secured funding for an AI-guided mental health initiative aimed at LGBT youth in Gauteng.  Odumosu holds a double degree in Medicine and Surgery, along with a Master’s in Public Health from UWC-SOPH.
