Seminar held on ‘Public Health Perspectives on the crisis in higher education’ at the 2016/17 Jakes Gerwel Award hosted by SOPH on 7 July 2017.

Seminar held on ‘Public Health Perspectives on the crisis in higher education’ at the 2016/17 Jakes Gerwel Award hosted by SOPH on 7 July 2017.
The Seminar includes interactive sessions on the following topics:
1. Conditions under which students study- public heath aspects
2. Content of curricula: How do we think about a ‘decolonised’ public health curriculum
3. Approaches to teaching- challenges and opportunities
Seminar was attended by members of the Gerwel family, UWC leadership, the Jakes Gerwel award sponsors- the Mauerberger Foundation Fund, and colleagues from UWC and sister institutions.
