The National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa, in partnership with the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT), hosted a 2-day kick-off / launching workshop for the 2016 funded joint projects under the Swedish/ South Africa science and technology cooperation.The workshop took place on 16-17 March 2017 in Pretoria.
Professor Helen Schneider and Dr Nelisiwe Maleka from School of Public Health – University of the Western Cape and Professor Anna-Karin Hurtig from Department of Public Health and Clinical Medicine – Umeå University presented their 3-year research collaborative programme: Health Policy and Systems Research: Strengthening community based health systems during the workshop. The team further had discussion and planning for the upcoming U2U collaboration workshop on community based health systems scheduled for 20 – 24 November 2017 to be held in South Africa.
