As the ‘universal recipient’ of failing societies, the health sector has a particular responsibility to advance whole-of-society approaches to health and wellbeing through intersectoral collaboration. The chapter aims to document forms of intersectoral collaboration that emerged in the Western Cape Province in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the lessons and opportunities that these experiences offer for health and wellbeing.
