Tamlin Petersen is the Project Administrative Coordinator at the School of Public Health (SOPH) at the University of the Western Cape (UWC).

She is integral to organizing public events, workshops, postgraduate writing retreats, and special events and awards for the school. Additionally, her role involves overseeing administrative duties for two SARChI Chairs, the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) Extra-Mural Research Unit, and other various projects.

Tamlin joined SOPH in 2002, initially working part-time with the Summer and Winter Schools. In 2009, she took on a full-time position as the Administrative Coordinator for the newly founded UWC Centre for Research in HIV and AIDS, where she oversaw overall administration and events for five years. Her responsibilities also include, general communications, and overseeing the SOPH website-related tasks.
