Tamlin Petersen joined the SOPH in 2002, initially working part-time on the Summer and Winter Schools. She joined the staff full-time in 2009, when she became the administrative co-ordinator for the newly-formed UWC Centre for Research in HIV and AIDS, a position she held for five years.

This comprised the overall administration of the Centre and event management, particularly the annual international HIV-in-Context Research Symposiums.

Following this she became the Events and Grants Administrator for the School.

South African higher education institutions as drivers of change for health and wellbeing

This project seeks to address the twin challenges of developing capacity for training and research in pharmaceutical public health and doctoral education, and contributing to the goal of strengthening health and pharmaceutical systems capable of sustainably addressing key threats to health.

Strengthening Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Capacities in four Southern African countries (SPaRCS)

SPaRCS is a 3-year project which commenced in April 2020 funded by the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP)
