Post Doctoral Fellow

My research centers on prevention of chronic conditions in disadvantaged populations. I studied determinants of a healthy diet, diabetes, depression and anxiety in global contexts.

I analyzed the implementation of self-management through modeling of motivational constructs and identifying mechanisms related to the health system and people’s social and physical environment. I am interested in self-determination theory and, in particular, perceived autonomy.

Methodologically, I am a data scientist acquainted with advanced statistical approaches to design, conduct and analyze complex surveys, as well as experimental, quasi-experimental and longitudinal studies. I have published methodological papers on psychometry and the use of latent constructs.
