The Struggle for Health: 2nd Edition (Oxford University Press, 2023)

At the time of Prof David Sander's passing, he was working on an updated edition of this influential book, The Struggle for Health:

Medicine and the Politics of Underdevelopment. Since his untimely passing, and with the direction of Sue Fawcus, co-authorship of Wim de Ceukelaire and Barbara Huttontogether with colleagues from the People’s Health Movement (PHM), and the considerable support provided by the UWC, SOPH, the book was completed. The Struggle for Health: 2nd Edition (Oxford University Press, 2023) which ‘presents a strengthened call to action, building upon the original work and advocating for systemic changes to ensure justice and equity in health for all’
